The food was late.

The organiser for a product launch is upset that the food ordered from The Original Vadai did not arrive in time for the event, leaving the 25 guests with nothing to eat.

The Stomper called it an "unacceptable level of service".

"Thanks to Original Vadai, my VIPs left without food," said the Stomper. "The food was supposed to serve the important purpose of networking."

The $200 order was scheduled to be delivered to the venue of the product launch by 3pm on Feb 25.

At 2.22pm, the Stomper messaged Original Vadai to check whether the food was on its way but got no reply.

As 3pm approached, the Stomper tried calling the company several times.

"When the call finally got through, the lady who took my call just kept stressing she was on her break," recounted the Stomper, who shared screenshots of the WhatsApp chat with Original Vadai.

After the Stomper complained about the "rubbish service", Original Vadai messaged that the delivery person was from Lalamove.

"She's not even our staff," said Original Vadai.

When the Stomper wanted a call from the company's management, Original Vadai replied: "Well, I am the manager."

The Stomper messaged back: "This kind of lousy standard can be manager?"

The food finally arrived at about 3.20pm after all the guests have left.

The Stomper said that five members of the staff ate some of the food and brought the rest back to the office to give out.
