Not 1 but 2 cars run red light at Katong pedestrian crossing, first one almost hits woman with 2 kids
Two cars ran the red light at a Katong pedestrian crossing with the first one nearly hitting a woman with two young children.
Stomper Sharon shared dashcam footage of the near accident at Tanjong Katong Road on Feb 3 afternoon.
"The first car almost hit a helper with two toddlers," said the Stomper.
The trio were crossing the road with the traffic light in their favour when a black Toyota Harrier approached the crossing without slowing down.
The woman saw the car and stopped in the middle of the road to let the Toyota drive past in front of her and the kids.
Seconds after they reached the other side of the road safely, another black compact sport utility vehicle - this time a Mazda CX-9 - ran the light before it changed.
The offence of failing to conform to red light signal carries a maximum fine of $1,000, a jail term of up to three months, or both.
