Ngee Ann City responds after water seen leaking through ceiling
Ngee Ann City has responded to a Stomp query where water was seen leaking through a ceiling in its shopping centre on Thursday (August 8).
Stomper Hannah was walking to a bookstore with her friends at about 6pm when she came across the scene.
She also contributed a video of what she saw.
Hannah told Stomp: "At first, there was only a small bucket, but by 6.15pm, they had garbage bins collecting water while a man cut holes in the ceiling.
"My friends and I just laughed and took the opportunity to take a video of the leak."
In response to a Stomp query, a spokesman from Ngee Ann City said: "Due to a faulty valve, water from one of our chiller pipes overflowed and caused a minor leakage problem.
"The situation is under control now and repairs have been initiated."
