A motorist is calling out a Malaysian-registered car for tailgating him out of a Hougang carpark to evade paying parking charges on the morning of Dec 29.

The Stomper shared rear dashcam footage of the incident that took place near Block 689 Hougang Street 61 at 6.24am.

The video shows the Stomper's vehicle heading towards the carpark exit when a white car appeared behind it and followed the Stomper.

As the Stomper exited the carpark, the white car can be seen tailgating the Stomper's vehicle out of the carpark under the raised barrier arm before it came down.

"It seems like a good way for foreign-registered vehicles to park without paying throughout Singapore," said the Stomper.

"So I downloaded the footage and submitted it via the OneService app. I'm not sure if they will send the info to ICA (Immigration & Checkpoints Authority) for possible action since it was a Malaysian-registered vehicle."

The clip surfaced just days after another cross-border driving incident made headlines, involving a Singapore-registered car in Malaysia that was filmed concealing its licence plate to allegedly buy subsidised petrol.
