Motorcyclist makes police report after someone stole side mirrors from his bike parked at Changi Airport
A 34-year-old man was arrested for two separate cases of theft at the car parks of Changi Airport.
The police received a report from a motorcyclist on May 12 that both side mirrors of his bike had been stolen while it was parked at the multi-storey car park of Terminal 4.
Three days later, another motorcyclist reported his helmet missing from his motorcycle which was parked at a different car park of Terminal 4.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of the CCTV footage, officers from Airport Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on May 15.
Two side mirrors of a motorcycle were recovered.
The man was charged in court on May 17 for the offences of theft of a motor vehicle component part, which carries an imprisonment term of up to seven years and a fine.
He was also charged with theft which carries an imprisonment of up to thee years, a fine or both.
