Motorcyclist hurls vulgarities, flips middle finger at driver at Ikea Alexandra carpark

A Stomper was shocked by a motorcyclist's behaviour while exiting Ikea Alexandra on Sept 23 at about 1.10pm.

Stomper Anonymous said: "This is the kind of rider that gives Singaporean motorcyclists a bad name.

"Rude, impatient, self-entitled, and downright disgusting."

The incident occurred when the Stomper was leaving the carpark with a complimentary coupon.

He told Stomp that he paused briefly at the gantry to check the parking rates after noticing there was no fee charged.

"Knowing there's no car behind, I stopped for just two seconds to glance at the signage board," he said.

"Before I knew it, I heard a horn and realised there was a motorbike at the side, using the next gantry.

"The rider then started spewing vulgarities."

The Stomper said he needed the extra moment as he had planned to make a U-turn immediately upon exiting the carpark.

"When I finally drove out, the motorcyclist slid past on my left and gave me an angry glare, as if I had committed the biggest crime of the year," he recounted.

"I had not retaliated up to that point, but I decided to horn at him to let him know he was being unreasonable.

"That was when he raised his hand and flipped his middle finger at me."

The Stomper added: "To the rider: A short two-second pause does not justify calling me vulgar names and showing me your middle finger.

"You are incredibly rude, not to mention impatient."
