Motorcyclist and pillion rider taken to hospital after accident with car and lorry on PIE
Two people and were taken to hospital after an accident involving a motorcycle, a car and a lorry on the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) towards Tuas on Aug 21.
Stomper Marco shared videos of the aftermath taken from an overhead bridge, showing multiple police vehicles and ambulances at the scene.
In the clips, traffic was heavy as emergency vehicles lined the expressway. The damaged car and lorry could be seen cordoned off with cones.
The police told Stomp they were alerted to the accident at about 8.40pm before the Bendemeer Road exit.
"A 26-year-old male motorcyclist and his 25-year-old female pillion were conveyed conscious to the hospital, a police spokesperson said.
"A 59-year-old male car driver and a 41-year-old male lorry driver are assisting with investigations."
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was also alerted to the accident but its assistance was not required.
Police investigations are ongoing.
