Monkey helps itself to 'breakfast buffet' at Coney Island trash bin

Stomper YH saw a monkey rummaging through a trash bin located just outside the East entrance of Coney Island today on Jul 2 at around 7.25am.

In an email to Stomp, YH said he believes the animal was looking for food that might have been thrown into the bin by visitors the night before.

The Stomper elaborated:

"It was already digging through the trash when I arrived. I observed it only for about five minutes before it found some food and left."

YH said that there were a few visitors in the vicinity of the bin but were unaffected by the monkey's presence.
