Minister Josephine Teo gets 'orh bak kak' after 'absent-mindedly' walking into glass door
Minister for Digital Development and Information Josephine Teo suffered an inch-wide gash above her left eye after walking into a glass door.
She said in a social media post on July 25 that it was entirely her own fault.
"I must have been thinking about work when I absent-mindedly walked into a glass door that was not closed as usual," said Mrs Teo.
She thanked the staff at Singapore General Hospital for stitching her up.
"Apart from the initial feeling of being concussed, I feel fine and was able to meet colleagues virtually and settle some urgent matters," she added.
"Still, my left eye is slightly swollen and looks like badly-applied blue-black makeup."
The minister warned: "Please don’t be alarmed if you see me over the next few days with an 'orh bak kak' (Hokkien for black-eye)."
