Milk powder stolen from VivoCity supermarket, 3 arrested and 71 tins worth $4,000 recovered

A 26-year-old man and two women, aged 22 and 31, were arrested for the theft of milk powder from a VivoCity supermarket.

A total of 71 tins of milk powder worth about $4,000 were recovered.

The police received a report on April 24 at about 10.35am that several tins of milk powder had allegedly been stolen from a supermarket at 1 HarbourFront Walk, which is the address of VivoCity.

The only supermarket in VivoCity is FairPrice Xtra.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from CCTV, officers from
Clementi Police Division established the identities of the trio and arrested them the next day.

They were charged in court on April 26 with theft in dwelling with common intention, which carries an imprisonment term of up to seven years and a fine.
