A Mazda driver was caught on camera running a red light at Bencoolen Street while pedestrians were crossing the road.

Stomper Lau Lau alerted Stomp to a video of the incident which occurred on March 31 at 1.32pm.

The footage was posted on Facebook by SG Road Vigilante and shows a black Mazda 3 cutting into another lane before a traffic junction.

Despite the traffic light not being in the Mazda's favour, the driver does not stop, ignoring four pedestrians in the midst of crossing the road.

One Facebook user questioned if the driver was "daydreaming".
