Mazda driver goes against traffic flow in Serangoon, forces taxi to reverse

A black Mazda was caught on video going against the flow of traffic along Serangoon North Avenue 1, forcing a taxi driver to reverse to give way.

Stomper Lau Lau alerted Stomp to the incident, which happened around 10.30pm on May 23.

In a video posted to Facebook, the Mazda CX-8 is seen driving straight into oncoming traffic, leaving a taxi driver with no choice but to reverse to give way.

Several onlookers can be seen observing the situation, while loud honking can be heard in the background.

After reaching a junction, the Mazda quickly turns and speeds off.

Netizens weighed in on the video, with one commenting: “I am surprised the taxi driver was so accommodating.”

Another chimed in: “If I were the taxi driver, I wouldn’t even reverse.”

A solution to the issue was presented by another netizen: “Scissors paper stone. Loser steps back.”
