Massive pipe falls off trailer and blocks lanes at Balestier Road
A large pipe fell off a trailer at Balestier Road on March 21, causing a traffic jam.
The police told Stomp they were alerted to the accident at 9am.
A police spokesperson said no injuries were reported and that a 31-year-old male trailer driver is assisting with investigations.
The trailer was believed to have skidded along Balestier Road towards Thomson Road.
Stomper Jane alerted Stomp to a photo and video circulating on WhatsApp of the incident.
The photo shows the trailer and pipe blocking two lanes.
Part of the pipe had fallen onto the pavement.
In a video recorded by a motorcyclist, cones are seen on the road diverting traffic.
Police investigations are ongoing.
In a similar incident, a huge concrete block fell off a trailer in Tuas South on March 19.
