Man casually vapes in Sim Lim Square lift, acts 'like nobody's around'

A young man was caught on camera vaping in a lift with other people at Sim Lim Square on April 26 at 2.45pm.

Stomper J, who was in the lift with the individual, shared a video of the incident.

"This fool was vaping inside the lift like nobody was around," said the Stomper.

"He looked so stoned."

According to the Health Sciences Authority, e-vaporisers are known to contain harmful chemicals such as fine particulate matter, cancer-causing agents like carbonyls and volatile organic compounds such as formaldehyde and benzene.

The purchase, possession and use of imitation tobacco products, which include e-vaporisers, is prohibited.

Any person who is convicted of possession, use and purchase of e-vaporisers is liable to a fine of up to $2,000.
