Man uses women's toilet at Golden Mile: Netizens split over his intentions
A video of a man entering and using the women's toilet at Golden Mile Complex has netizens debating whether it was a genuine mistake or a blatant disregard of the signage.
Stomper Michael alerted Stomp to the video posted on Singapore Breaking News Network's Facebook page.
In the clip, the man is seen standing at the sink and washing up inside the female toilet, seemingly unbothered by his surroundings.
According to the caption, the man had been informed by others and walked past clear signage indicating the toilet was for women only, yet still went ahead and used the facility.
Some netizens were quick to call for action.
"Call the security guards," one person wrote.
But others urged for calm and understanding, suggesting it may have been an honest mistake.
"Don't jump to conclusions... he may not know he stepped into the wrong washroom," one commenter said.
"Looks like he was unaware," a Facebook user wrote. "He wasn't hiding but boldly washing up, in plain sight.
"Let's give him the benefit of the doubt. I've wrongly done that too, before."
Another added: "Next time make a bigger notice."
It is unclear if any formal complaint was made or whether security was eventually alerted.
