Man shocked by cost of curry puffs at new Teck Whye stall instead of usual 3 for $3

He was expecting to pay $3 for three curry puffs like he usually does.

However, Stomper Mohamed was shocked to be charged $4.50 when he visited a newly opened stall at Block 26 Teck Whye Lane on Oct 16.

He said: "I have bought potato curry puffs from many Muslim food stalls before. Most of the time, they charge me 'three for $3'.

"But this time, I bought curry puffs from a new Muslim stall and was shocked when I asked how much. They said three for $4.50."

Mohamed did a double take and double-checked the price with stall staff, who confirmed it.

"It's really ridiculous and daylight robbery," the Stomper added. "Now I know how high Singapore's inflation is."
