Man runs off after getting caught on video peeing at Tanah Merah MRT Station, police investigating
Another man was caught on video urinating at an MRT station, this time at Tanah Merah.
Stomp earlier reported on a man who was arrested after he was witnessed urinating on an escalator handrail at Outram Park MRT Station on Jan 10.
A video of the second incident was posted on Tiagong SG's Instagram and Facebook page on Jan 13.
In the video, a man wearing a red T-shirt and black pants is seen standing at a corner near a platform screen door.
He appears to look left and right before running off after realising he is being watched by the person recording him.
It is unclear when this incident happened.
In response to a Stomp query, the police confirmed a report was lodged and that investigations are ongoing.
SMRT confirmed with Stomp that the incident happened at Tanah Merah MRT Station on the East-West Line.
Mr Lam Sheau Kai, president of SMRT Trains said: "Such behaviour is unacceptable as it defaces public spaces and poses health and sanitation risks to commuters.
"A police report has been filed, and we are cooperating with the police in their investigations."
