Man on train verbally abuses passenger who just stands there and says nothing until...
The passenger just had to endure it.
A man was caught on camera verbally abusing another passenger on the Downtown Line on July 12.
Stomper Steven shared a vulgarity-laden video of the incident he took at about 12.40pm.
The video starts as the train was about to depart Bugis MRT station.
"The foul-mouthed guy had already been shouting at another couple before boarding the train," said the Stomper.
The man wearing a cap and yellow polo shirt can be seen berating another man who was carrying a backpack. Both were standing near the train doors.
"What are you looking at? What are you looking at?" demanded the man in the cap.
The other man just turned away and remained silent.
"Watch your mouth! Watch your tongue, f***ing idiot," said the man in the cap as he kept berating the other passenger until the train arrived at Rochor station.
When the train doors opened, the man in the cap looked like he was walking out with his hand extended towards the other passenger.
This forced the passenger to react by pushing the hand away. He stepped back and removed his backpack like he was ready to fight.
The man in the cap stepped out of the train and challenged the passenger to get out. The latter's voice is heard for the first time as he told his challenger to come back into the train instead.
That was when several MRT staff members showed up and separated the two men.
"I must applaud the MRT staff for their timely intervention, failing which, it's unimaginable how it would have ended," said the Stomper.
