A man was spotted lying flat on the floor of an MRT train on the East-West Line, prompting concern from commuters.

A Stomper witnessed the unusual scene and shared a photo and a video of the man sprawled on the floor with his bag covering his face taken on Dec 8 at about 5.52pm.

The Stomper, who boarded at Bedok and alighted at Raffles Place, shared that the man remained in the same position throughout the journey.

"The guy was sleeping on the floor," he said.

"Everyone was minding their own business, but the lady in front of him - I guess she was taking a photo too."

What concerned the reader most was the man's bag, which appeared to be covering his face.

"I'm worried about his bag covering his face - I'm scared he might suffocate," he added.

While it's unclear if the man was asleep, unconscious, or intoxicated, the reader speculated: "I don't know, I guess he was drunk."
