Buying takeaway meals from shops at MRT stations can be a quick and convenient option, especially for those commuting to and fro work.

But is it too much to expect quality from such stalls?

Stomper Lim was disappointed by the packet of chicken cutlet rice that he purchased from a shop at Woodlands MRT station on the evening of Jan 8.

He paid $3.20 for it and said: "It was all skin. There was so little meat and so hard to bite. They don't know how to chop chicken properly."

Lim had better luck with his dinner from another stall at Admiralty MRT station on Jan 9.

The chicken cutlet rice came with a fried egg and cost $4.70.

Lim told Stomp: "This was much better. Don't go and buy at closing time as you will only get leftovers like what I got from the first stall."
