Injured man taken to hospital after tripping over 'black hump' at East Coast Road
A pedestrian was crossing the road when an uneven surface caused him to trip and fall, leaving him injured.
Stomper Chong said the incident occurred in front of bus stop 93061 along East Coast Road on Aug 20, at around 11.35am.
Chong, who shared photos of the road and his injuries, said: "This black hump was directly in the middle of the road and I was unable to notice it."
The Stomper sustained injuries to his face and right hand. He also suffered a 3cm cut under his lip that required stitches.

"While waiting for an ambulance, a lady informed me that her daughter also had a fall the day before due to this unseen black hump in the middle of the road," recounted Chong, who was taken to Changi General Hospital.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed with Stomp that it received a call for assistance at around 11.45am and took one person to hospital.
Upon receiving Chong's feedback, Stomp got in touch with the relevant authorities. Stomp understands that repair works were carried out shortly after.

On Aug 21, Chong shared photos showing the area being cordoned off while workers mended the road.
He later confirmed: "The workers have flattened the black hump!"
However, Chong is still not feeling his best.
"I still have some chest pain at times," he told Stomp. "I have to return to the hospital to continue my treatment and check the stitches under my upper lip next week."
