Man hurls vulgarities and kicks police during drunken ruckus in Yishun: 'Why you scared?'
A 30-year-old man was arrested and is under investigation for multiple offences after he was caught on camera creating a ruckus in Yishun on Jan 14.
Stomper X said he heard shouting and quarrelling in the vicinity of Block 781 Yishun Ring Road at around 10.30pm before the police arrived, adding: "The man was probably drunk."
He shared videos of the man causing a scene while being taken away by police officers.
The man can be heard yelling and ranting while three officers held on to him, as well as repeatedly shouting, "Why you scared?"
He also used vulgarities and kicked an officer with his right leg before being led into a police car.
The Stomper recounted: "I guess he was refusing to cooperate with the police. I heard him shouting, 'Don't touch me, who the f*** are you?'
"A crowd began to gather as the shouting intensified and neighbours started coming out to see what was happening. I think many people saw the man's kick to the police, which was what shocked me the most."
In response to a Stomp query, the police said they received a call for assistance at Block 794 Yishun Ring Road at around 10.40pm.
The man was conscious when taken to hospital.
"He was arrested and is being investigated for mischief, causing annoyance to the public when drunk, voluntarily causing hurt and using criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of his duty, and using abusive language against a public servant," police added.
Police investigations are ongoing.
