Man complains bus stop shelter at Ganges Avenue is 'too short'
A man believes the shelter at a Ganges Avenue bus stop does not provide adequate shelter for commuters.
Stomper Goh shared with Stomp that during rainy weather, bus captains often do not drive forward enough, leaving alighting passengers exposed to the rain.
"The bus bay is so long, but the shelter is so short," Goh said.
He was so bothered by this issue that he has reached out to the Land Transport Authority (LTA) multiple times.
"I have been calling and sending emails to LTA regarding the bus stop shelter," he shared.
However, he finds the responses he has received from the quality service manager unacceptable.
"I have seen other bus stops undergoing upgrades every one to two years, but LTA simply does not want to extend this bus stop shelter.
"There is no excuse for not extending the shelter."
Stomp understands that LTA received Goh's feedback in 2024 and has plans to extend the shelter in the future.
