A woman in Tiong Bahru is appealing for answers after her parcel was stolen from her shoe cabinet in broad daylight.

Stomp Vanzy shared footage taken from her own security camera and her neighbour's camera on May 26.

In the clips, a delivery courier can be seen placing a parcel in the Stomper's shoe cabinet outside her unit.

Moments later, a man wearing a red T-shirt walks past.

After the courier leaves, the man returns at about 8.34am. He sits nearby for a while, then approaches the unit, opens the cabinet, takes the parcel and walks away with it.

The Stomper said she filed a police report immediately and even reached out to her Member of Parliament for assistance.

She added that the parcel contained several items, with a total value of just under $100.

"Unfortunately, it's been over two months and no clear outcome has been provided to date," she said. "This is especially concerning in today's e-commerce era, where hundreds of parcels are delivered every minute across the country.

"With the convenience of online shopping comes the growing risk of parcel theft - something that can affect anyone, anywhere."

In response to a Stomp query, the police confirmed that a report has been lodged and investigations are ongoing.
