Man catches 18kg catfish and the attention of passers-by at Kallang River
A man drew a crowd when he caught an 18kg catfish at Kolam Ayer ABC Waterfront.
Stomper Anon alerted Stomp to a video of the impressive catch that was posted on TikTok by @usermarch8youyi3q on June 23.
The man is seen with a group of others gathered near Kolam Ayer Bridge. The huge catch caught the attention of onlookers, watching from the bridge above.
They dragged the fish onto the pavement and hoisted it up on a fish weighing scale. The scale read a whopping 18 kilograms.
Some netizens congratulated the fisherman and applauded his strength: "Damn huge sia…ah gong can withstand the weight and strength of that. 💪🏾"
Others felt bad for the fish. One comment read: "Poor thing.😭😭"
