Man arrested for molesting woman near MRT station

A 22-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On Dec 1, a 39-year-old woman reported to the police that she was molested while walking down the staircase at an MRT station.
Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of CCTV footages, the suspect was identified and arrested on Dec 6 at Joo Koon MRT station.
Investigations against the suspect are ongoing.
Anyone convicted of outrage of modesty is liable for a jail term of up to 2 years, a fine, caning, or with any combination of such punishments, upon conviction.
