Man arrested for drink driving after crashing into traffic light pole in Jalan Sultan

A 43-year-old driver was arrested for drink driving after crashing his car on Dec 30.
The police told Stomp that they were alerted to an accident involving a car, which was believed to have skidded along Jalan Sultan towards Syed Alwi Road, at 11.50pm.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said one person was assessed for minor injuries but declined to be taken to hospital.
A video posted online shows the accident scene outside Hotel Boss.
The car can be seen mounting a grass verge at a tilted angle, with a damaged traffic light pole lodged between its front bumper and right front wheel.
Debris is strewn around the vehicle and on the road.
Police investigations are ongoing.
