In Geylang, Stomper L took photos of a man on a mobility device and shared it with Stomp, asking: 'Why need such a biggggg PMD? Is it approved?"

Another Stomper shared a video of a woman in a motorised wheelchair and said she was travelling at high speed in the Toa Payoh bus interchange.

LTA said active mobility users should comply with all requirements when using their devices.

For PMDs, e-scooters and PABs, the maximum weight is 20kg and maximum width is 70cm.

For personal mobility aids (PMAs) such as mobility scooters and motorised wheelchairs, the maximum speed is 10kmh.

LTA added that non-compliant devices will be impounded immediately for safety reasons.
