A 40-footer lorry mounted the kerb at Jalan Kayu Interim Park early Wednesday morning (Aug 30).

Stomper Angela shared a photo of the heavy vehicle on the grass with a trail of debris behind it, but she did not see what led to the accident.

"It had already happened when I was there at 7am," she said. "The traffic police were taking photos."

A video was shared in a Telegram group showing traffic police directing traffic past the accident site at 6.47am.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted at 3.20am to an accident involving a lorry along Jalan Kayu towards Tampines Expressway after Jalan Tari Lilin.

"A 23-year-old female lorry passenger refused conveyance," said the police.

When contacted by Stomp, the Singapore Civil Defence Force said a person was assessed for minor injuries but declined to be taken to the hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
