Lorry driver arrested for drink driving after accident with car in Serangoon, woman taken to hospital
A 30-year-old man was arrested for drink driving after his lorry collided with a car in Serangoon on the evening of Sept 7.
Stomper Marco shared a video of the accident's aftermath near Centrium Square taken from a passing bus on his way home.
The lorry can be seen stopped behind the white Toyota Wish. An ambulance and Traffic Police were at the scene.
In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at Serangoon Road towards Upper Serangoon Road at about 8.55pm.
A 49-year-old woman who was driving the Toyota was conscious when taken to the hospital.
The offence of driving while under the influence of alcohol carries a fine ranging from $2,000 to $10,000, a jail term of up to 12 months, or both. Repeat offenders may be fined up to $20,000 and jailed for up to two years.
Police investigations are ongoing.
