A lizard was found moving inside a Grab delivery from Popeyes on Nov 26.

Stomper Liou shared a photo of the reptile in the plastic bag from the fried chicken chain.

"I got this order from the Railway Mall outlet via Grab," said the Stomper.

"I didn't know the food was left on the shoe rack until I check my phone for the driver's location to find out that payment was deducted. That meant the food had arrived."

He estimated that by then, his order had already been there for about 10 minutes.

"I called the outlet and Grab, but nobody answered!" added the Stomper. "Authorities should take serious action.

"I had to order a new set."

In response to a Stomp, a spokesperson for Popeyes said: "We are aware of the customer's feedback and are currently reviewing the details of his report.

"Based on the information provided, the lizard found in the bag was alive, and the order had been placed on a shoe rack outside the home.

"As with all food deliveries, once the order is handed over and left in an external environment, there is a possibility of external elements coming into contact with the packaging, especially when the food is stationary and exposed.

"That said, we take all customer feedback seriously. We are conducting an internal check with the Rail Mall outlet and our delivery partner to confirm the handover process and ensure that proper sealing and packing procedures were followed.

"We have also been trying to reach the customer to understand the situation better and to offer our assistance."

Stomper has reached out to Grab for more info.
