Little India brawl: Police to charge man with murder, 5 others accused of rioting with deadly weapon
A 22-year-old man will be charged with murder after an early morning brawl in Little India led to the death of a 25-year-old man, said the police on Sept 23.
Three other men, aged between 20 and 23, and two women, both 24, will be charged with rioting armed with a deadly weapon.
The police had received a call for assistance at Verdun Road on Sept 22 at 4.05am.
Two men, aged 24 and 25, were unconscious when taken to the hospital, where the 25-year-old subsequently died.
When Stomp visited the area on the afternoon of Sept 22, cleaners were seen scrubbing away the blood stains on the pavement.

The offence of murder carries the death penalty, while the offence of rioting armed with deadly weapon carries an imprisonment term of up to 10 years and caning.
Police investigations are ongoing.
