Kids overjoyed by man climbing tree to help them retrieve ball in Tampines
Not all heroes wear capes.
A man saved the day by helping a group of children to retrieve their ball from a tree at Tampines GreenRidges.
Stomper Vacance shared a video of the incident that occurred on Sept 7, at around 3pm.
The video shows a man climbing up a tree as several kids watch. Moments later, a blue ball is seen falling from the tree and shouts of joy from the children can be heard.
A boy also claps after the man descends the tree.
Vacance, who said the man was a cleaner, told Stomp: "This is a rare moment where community members step out of their defined roles to help one another out and have a little fun while at it.
"It's a beautiful embodiment of the kampung spirit."
