'Junkyard' on ground floor of Bukit Panjang block remains past town council's deadline for removal
The deadline was Oct 6.
But as of Oct 21, the clutter outside the resident's flat on the ground floor of Block 472 Segar Road remained even though it is past the deadline given by the town council for the item to be removed.
Stomper W said the resident "abused" the common corridor, turning it into a "junkyard" and safety hazard as well as causing obstruction for wheelchair users such as the Stomper's wife.

Stomp reported on Sept 28 that a Holland-Bukit Panjang Town Council spokesperson said its property team reached out to the resident involved and issued a formal advisory, advising them to remove the clutter by Oct 6.
"Simultaneously, the town council, in partnership with community volunteers, will be intensifying its public education efforts to raise awareness about the importance of keeping shared spaces clear and unobstructed," added the spokesperson.
"Items left in these spaces can pose significant hazards, particularly in emergencies, as they may block access for firefighting operations and impede the timely evacuation of residents.
"Our team will continue to closely monitor the situation to ensure compliance. By working together with mindfulness and cooperation, we can foster a safe and pleasant living environment for all residents."
But the "junkyard" was still there on Oct 16 when the Stomper took photos of the same items in the area, including clothes racks, bicycles and folded tables.
The only change was workmen coming to install a security camera, but they found it difficult because of the stuff in the way, said the Stomper.

On Oct 21, the Stomper took another photo with the new camera installed.
