The woman who has recently been linked romantically to radio DJ Glenn Ong wants it to stop.

Filipino actress Jonica Lazo has enough of the "hurtful words".

She posted on Instagram Stories on Oct 8 that she has been getting "tons" of messages and comments about her career here in the Philippines.

Recounting her career, Lazo wrote: "I've been trying different roles and commercials since I was 12. I started back in 2011.

"Me, and especially my mom, worked so hard just to get me into the acting industry, but then there came a time I had to step away from acting to focus on my studies.

"Years later, I got a chance to sign with VAA (Viva Artist Agency), which led me to do a few R-rated films under VMX (Vivamax). It wasn't an easy choice. It actually took me two years to do it. I thought there's nothing to lose!"

VMX is a Philippine streaming service that was condemned by Filipino senator Jinggoy Estrada in December 2024 for flooding the digital space with films and shows containing graphic, sexual and exploitative content.

Lazo acted in rather explicit sex scenes in VMX movies such as Salsal Ni L and Balinsasayaw in 2024.

Lazo said in her Instagram post that her family approved of her decision to join VMX.

"I asked my family permission and they gave me their full support and blessing. No questions asked. Not to brag, but I need to say this, my family are all professionals and doing well in life!" claimed the actress.

"Yet here you are, contributing absolutely nothing, thinkin' you have the right to judge me and throw insults.

"Funny how y'all turned into a rude person in just one photo and by believing what you read online. People, please, try using your brain for once.

"Sorry for my words, but I've had enough of all the hurtful words. Stop and enough dragging me and Glenn to this nonsense bulls*** comments."

Lazo added that Ong is a good man and a friend.

"So stop. There's no such thing as getting married or I'll be widowed in the future," said the actress. "Weird.

"So get your f***ing facts straight."

On the same day, Lazo posted that she and Ong are "not in a relationship" but are "good friends".

This followed a New Paper report on Oct 5 that Ong confirmed that he and Lazo are dating, but their relationship is not exclusive and he had no plans for marriage.

The speculation started when the recently divorced Ong posted on social media photos of himself with the actress on Sept 30. When asked by The Straits Times if they were dating, Ong, 55, said he would "neither admit nor deny" it.

On Oct 11, Lazo posted a question on Instagram Stories directed at an unspecified person: "Are you trying to be cool? #WeAreNotDating #WeAreNotInARelationship."
