Jacket fails to hide extra pillion rider on motorcycle at Punggol
He was fooling nobody.
A motorcyclist was seen riding a motorcycle with not one but two pillion riders in Punggol on Oct 21.
Photos of the incident were posted on SG Road Vigilante's Facebook page.
The images show a child sitting in front of the rider and another seated behind him.
The child behind covered his head and body with what appears to be a black jacket.
However, the disguise was not perfect as his legs could be clearly seen.
Under the Road Traffic Act, it is an offence to have more than one pillion rider on a motorcycle.
It is unclear how old the pillion riders are but no motorcycle or scooter rider can carry any child below 10 years old as a pillion passenger.
Netizens had mixed reactions to the incident.
Most slammed the rider for clearly flouting traffic rules.
Others suggested that he might have done this because he had 'no choice'.
"This is what happens when cars are not affordable," a Facebook user said.
