It's raining in Baskin-Robbins as Northpoint City mall affected by heavy downpour in Yishun
It was raining indoors in Northpoint City mall at Yishun Avenue 2 on April 21.
Stomper Ervin shared videos of water falling from the ceiling and pooling at the front of the Baskin-Robbins outlet.
Other videos of the incident were also posted online.
In response to a Stomp query, a spokesperson for Northpoint City said: "Due to the heavy rainfall, a section of the atrium at the South Wing of our mall was affected in the afternoon on April 21.
"We promptly cordoned off the affected area and activated our team to clear the water.
"The safety and well-being of our shoppers and the community remain our utmost priority. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
On the same day, national water agency PUB posted on its Facebook page that flood risk warnings for Yishun were issued.
A flash flood occurred at Yishun Avenue 7 near the intersection of Yishun Street 22 at 3.30pm and subsided in 25 minutes.
PUB added: "This location has experienced flooding over the past two weeks, due to heavy rain temporarily overwhelming the drainage capacity of the roadside drains.
"PUB has designated this location as a flood hotspot and will be implementing measures to enhance the drainage in this area."
