Is this legit? Hunter causes stir online after catching 'monster frog' with 'hair'
A hunter from Texas, USA, caught the attention of the Internet recently after he apparently caught a monstrous bull frog.
According to The Coverage, the amphibian looked to be as tall as a human child and it had what appears to be hair.
Netizens were rightly shocked after photos of the man and his catch circulated online.
Some however, have doubted the authenticity of the images, saying that they were edited.
Steve Lightfoot of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department had this to say about the creature:
“It’s not as bigly as it appears. [It’s an] optical illusion created by extending frog toward the camera — similar to what you see with fishermen holding up fish to make them appear larger. Still a big bullfrog, though.”
