If you're really 'nonchalant', you wouldn't eat and drink on train: SMRT goes Gen Z on TikTok
It is a perennial issue.
This is demonstrated once again as Stompers shared more photos of commuters eating and drinking on the MRT train.
Stomper Joshua shared a photo of a young man and a young woman standing near a "no eating and drinking" and disobeying it.

"Has our society became so entitled to break the law?" wondered Joshua.
Sharing a photo of a seated young man with an open can of Monster Mango Loco drink between his legs, Stomper K said the passenger was "happily" drinking on the train.

Stomper Anonymous shared a photo of another young couple seated on the train and each holding a drink in a plastic cup.
"These two were drinking in the train," said the Stomper.

The rule breakers all looked to be around the same age - in their early 20s.
Perhaps that was why on Nov 11, SMRT posted on TikTok a video about "gracious commuting" purportedly scripted by a Gen Z intern.
Shot on a display train, the light-hearted video had mystifying Gen Z slang-laden lines such as "You know you are cooked when you don't give up your seat for others" and "If you're really nonchalant, you wouldn't be eating and drinking in our train. You better lock in."
In keeping with the exaggerated Gen Z vibe of the video, someone with the SG Bus Models TikTok account commented: "Hello, I am commenting on your video to tell you that we have added infinite aura into your bank. This comment is by the Gen Z transport enthusiasts, you sigma."
The 50-second video has since garnered more than 35,000 views.
