Huge tree falls onto Upper Thomson Road during downpour, blocking traffic

A huge tree fell onto Upper Thomson Road during a heavy downpour today (Jul 14) at around 1pm.
Stomper Ranjit was in the area and alerted Stomp to what happened.
In a telephone interview, the Stomper said that the tree fell across all three lanes of the road, blocking traffic.
Thankfully however, he told Stomp he believes there were no vehicles on the road when the tree fell.
Said an SCDF spokesperson in response to a Stomp query:
"SCDF were alerted at around 1pm and dispatched one ambulance and one fire engine.
"However, there were no injuries."
