A huge tree fell in a car park at Ang Mo Kio due to heavy rain on Monday (July 27) and has left a gaping hole in the ground.

A Stomper shared photos of the fallen tree and the damage it did to the ground nearby.

"I took these photos about five minutes after the tree fell," he said.

In response to a Stomp query, a spokesman from Ang Mo Kio Town Council said: "We are aware of the fallen tree at Block 508 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8 on Monday (July 27).

"This happened after a heavy downpour. There were no reported injuries and the tree was removed immediately.
