Huge monitor lizard is out for a prowl at Punggol Waterway Park

Stomper Ruzzina was jogging past the playground at Punggol Waterway Park yesterday evening (Mar 2) when she spotted a huge water monitor lizard.
The Stomper said she heard rustling in the bushes as she was passing by the playground. Upon closer inspection, she realised that it was a water monitor lizard.
When she returned to the playground later, the reptile was already gone.
It was the Stomper’s first time seeing a water monitor lizard in the area.
She said:
“It was slightly scary to see such a big water monitor lizard.”
