Hornbill silently inspects surroundings on East Coast kitchen balcony, leaving Stomper in awe
Yet another Stomper has been graced with the presence of a hornbill.
Stomper Anonymous spotted an oriental pied hornbill resting on her kitchen balcony in her residence at Upper East Coast Road. The sighting took place on March 26, at around 5.15pm.
"It did not make any noise. It kept turning its head from left to right and vice versa in a very slow movement!" the Stomper shared.
"I did see hornbills from a far distance when I visited the bird park many years ago, but this was upclose in the kitchen balcony!"
Anonymous described the bird as beautiful, especially with its "pitch black body" and "highlighted light yellow beak".
"The way it turns its head is amazing!" she added.
This sighting comes days after Stomper Kelly shared a similar encounter, in which an oriental pied hornbill visited her Serangoon North home twice in a week.
