Honda Civic crashes into lamp post in Orchard after alleged street race
A Honda Civic crashed into a lamp post along Orchard Road in the early hours of Aug 9 after it was allegedly racing with other cars.
Stomper Randy alerted Stomp to a video posted on Facebook of the incident.
Its caption reads: "Free F1 show don't need to buy ticket."
In the clip, some cars can be seen speeding along Orchard Road. One vehicle skids, making a 180-degree turn.
Later in the video, a yellow Honda Civic is seen crashed next to a lamp post, surrounded by a crowd of bystanders. Its front windscreen appears to be damaged.
In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at about 1.45am.
"The Police were alerted to an accident involving a car which was believed to have self-skidded along Orchard Road towards Bras Basah Road," a police spokesperson said.
"A 32-year-old male car driver was conveyed conscious to the hospital.
"He is also assisting with investigations."
Police investigations are ongoing.
