An accident involving a car and a bus on the Seletar Expressway (SLE) towards the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) caused a massive jam on Dec 10.

Stomper Jennie told Stomp she was travelling along the expressway towards Tampines when she noticed traffic on the other side slowing to a crawl.

"There was a heavy jam from Woodlands to Thomson on the highway," she said.

"I think there were two accidents. The jam was super long. I only captured half of it."

Her video shows a long line of vehicles on the opposite side of the expressway.

At 8.33pm, the Land Transport Authority posted on X advising motorists to avoid lanes 1 and 2 on the SLE towards the BKE after Mandai Road due to an accident.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted at about 8.40pm to an accident involving a car and a bus along the SLE towards the BKE.

"No injuries were reported," a police spokesperson said.

"A 51-year-old male bus driver is assisting with investigations."

Police investigations are ongoing.

Stomp understands that a minor accident involving a motorcycle also occurred along the same stretch around that time.
