A trio of boys were caught fishing at Hampstead Wetlands Park on Sunday morning(May 14) despite 'no fishing' signs placed in the vicinity.

A Stomper alerted Stomp to the incident and said he saw the youths at 7 to 8am.

"They were illegally fishing next to a no fishing sign and were not remorseful.

"They refused to leave and had a loud open discussion to go to another part to continue their fishing."

In April, Stomp reported on youths who were chased away from fishing at Marina Bay Sands by a security guard.

Fishing is permitted at selected reservoirs and waterways. For a list of designated fishing locations, check out PUB's website.

Offenders caught fishing in no-fishing areas can be fined up to $3,000.
