Glass panel shatters and nearly hits passers-by at MBS
Shoppers at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands were shocked when a tempered glass panel suddenly shattered on Monday evening (June 7).
A Stomper shared with Stomp a photo he took and said it happened at about 8.10pm.
He added that the glass "nearly hit" two passers-by.
In response to a Stomp query, a Marina Bay Sands spokesman said they were aware of the incident.
"We attended to the scene immediately to manage the affected area, and confirm that no one was hurt," the spokesman said.
"We are investigating the cause of the incident and are conducting stringent checks on all glass panels in the vicinity as a precautionary measure."
