Drunken girl, 16, among 7 people arrested during police checks in Rochor and Little India

A 16-year-old girl was among seven people arrested for various offences following enforcement operations conducted at Rochor Canal Road and Little India on Sept 11.

The teen was caught using a forged electronic record and being drunk in a public place.

A 22-year-old man was arrested for voluntarily causing hurt to deter a public servant from his duty and for using abusive words towards a public servant.

Four other men, aged between 24 and 44, were nabbed for being suspected members of unlawful societies.

A 40-year-old man was arrested for suspected drug-related offences. The case was referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau.

In addition, two men, aged 38 and 40, were caught with five vapes and related components, and will be referred to the Health Sciences Authority.

Led by Central Police Division and supported by the Secret Societies Branch of the Criminal Investigation Department, checks were conducted on close to 100 people across 18 public entertainment outlets.

The offence of dishonestly using as genuine a forged electronic record carries an imprisonment term of up to 10 years, a fine or both.

Being drunk and incapable in a public place carries a fine of up to $1000, an imprisonment term of up to one month or both.

Using abusive words towards a public servant carries a fine of up to $5000, or an imprisonment term of up to 12 months, or both.

Being a member of an unlawful society carries a fine of up to $10,000, an imprisonment of up to three years or both.

Possessing, using or purchasing e-vaporisers carries a fine of up to $2,000.

Police investigations are ongoing.
