GetGo car ends up mounted on sloped kerb near Bishan HDB block, police investigating
A 49-year-old man is assisting the police with investigations after a GetGo car ended up halfway up a kerb in Bishan on Jan 22.
Stomper OMS alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a photo of the grey SsangYong Tivoli that appeared to have mounted the sloped edge behind a parking lot near Block 248 Bishan Street 22.
"I noticed this at 5pm but did not see how the car ended up like that," said the Stomper.
"The Traffic Police were still at the scene at about 5.36pm."
In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to an accident involving a car at the service road of the block at about 4.30pm.
"A 49-year-old male car driver is assisting with investigations," a police spokesperson said.
A GetGo spokeswoman told Stomp that it is aware of the incident.
"As this is an ongoing investigation, we are unable to provide further details at this time," she said.
"At GetGo, the safety of our users and the community is of utmost importance. Our priority continues to be ensuring the safety of our user and offering the necessary support."
Police investigations are ongoing.
