Fire breaks out in workers' dormitory building in Mandai
A fire broke out in a workers' dormitory in Mandai on July 14.
Stomper Lau Lau alerted Stomp to the incident which occurred at Westlite Juniper, located at 23 Mandai Estate.
A TikTok video posted by user dewansultandewans shows smoke rising out the top floor windows of a building.
In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the fire at about 7:30am.
The fire involved the contents of a unit on the sixth floor.
SCDF extinguished the fire using two hose reels and a water jet.
There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
